In perfect timing with Easter, WNY is enjoying it’s one week of spring! Which also welcomes the season of yard work.
I have the skill set of a day laborer–I’m totally good with raking leaves (why are there so many in April?!?), mowing the lawn, trimming the trees, weeding (when I can tell the difference).
Last year, I tilled the ground and threw a bunch of seeds in the dirt, but I guess that’s not the best approach. What I really need to do is beef up on my landscaping skills–the gardens need some serious structure. I need to learn how to grow things where they should grow and not where they don’t. It’s a work in progress; maybe I’ll get some gardening for reject bonehead books ?
